In short

Daylane does not collect personal data. The app has no servers, no user account, no analytics or tracking tools and no ads. All data stays on your iPhone.

What the app processes – and where

Calendars and Reminders

With your permission, Daylane uses Apple's EventKit to read and edit the calendars and reminders set up on your iPhone (e.g. iCloud, Google, Exchange). This data is processed only on the device to display it, find free time and create your wallpaper. Daylane sends it to no one. Syncing your calendars with iCloud, Google or other providers is done by iOS and those providers as usual — not by Daylane.

Daylane tasks, plans and settings

Tasks in Daylane lists, planned time blocks, settings and your wallpaper design are stored locally on your iPhone (including an App Group container read by the app's widgets). Nothing is sent to a server.

Photos

If you pick a photo as a background, only that photo is handed to Daylane by the iOS photo picker and stored locally. Daylane has no access to the rest of your library.

Wallpaper and Shortcuts

The wallpaper image is created on the device. If you set up a shortcut, Daylane hands the image to your iPhone's Shortcuts app, which sets it as your wallpaper.

Notifications, Live Activities and widgets

Reminders for planned tasks are local notifications. Live Activities are started on the device without a push server. Widgets show a locally stored copy of your next events and tasks; you can hide titles on the Lock Screen in Settings.

Diagnostics

A small log of technical events stays on the device; you can view, copy or delete it in Settings. It is never sent automatically.

No sharing, no tracking

Daylane shares no data with third parties, uses no analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs and builds no profiles. Apple may process data to distribute the app on the App Store under Apple's own privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Settings → Privacy → “Delete Daylane Data” removes all Daylane lists, tasks, time blocks, wallpapers and settings. Your Apple calendars and reminders are not changed. Deleting the app removes all locally stored Daylane data.

Your rights

As we collect no personal data, we hold no data about you. You nevertheless have the rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability) and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Questions: kubilayff@web.de.
